Behavior Consultations

At Training Spot, we know how frustrating behavior problems can be because we have lived with and rehabilitated dogs who have come to us with a wide range of behavior problems. Our trainers are known throughout the dog community for expert behavior consultations, evaluating the whole dog to help families develop training plans individualized to their specific behavior problems and home environment.

Behavior Consultations include two 1-hour private consultations with a Certified Professional Dog Trainer and Karen Pryor Academy Certified Training Partner who will suggest a training plan specifically for you and your dog. During your initial hour consultation, we will collect historical information, observe and evaluate your dog(s) to identify problems, outline basic management and safety guidelines, and what training is likely to include. At this appointment, if you choose to pursue training a second appointment will be scheduled within 1-2 weeks to create an individual behavior plan for your dog.

We can help overcome behavior problems such as:

  • leash reactivity
  • anxiety and fear issues
  • aggression towards people or animals
  • excessive barking
  • noise phobias
  • attention seeking
  • and more.

Details:

  • Two 1-hour private consultations held 1-3 weeks apart: $150 per hour session
  • After the two initial consultations, follow up private behavior lessons are $100 an hour.
  • Payment is required at time of registration to hold your appointment. Thank you for understanding that appointments cancelled with less than 48 hours notice have prevented others from scheduling and that you forfeit your payment.
  • In-home appointments available for current clients within 5 miles of our training center.
