Puppy Classes
PUP1 – Puppy and Me
We help lead you through the steps to provide your puppy with the life skills they need to grow into a good citizen. We teach you how to communicate effectively with your pup and make good behavior fun!
Potty training, polite manners and socialization are the focus for this 4 week course.
Puppies – 8 to 13 Weeks

PUP2 – Growing Pains
“Toto, I don’t think we’re in Kansas anymore.” What happened to my puppy? This course is a MUST for all puppy parents going through growing pains of teenage puppyhood. Learning to walk calmly on leash, impulse control and polite greetings are just some of the things we focus on in this 6 week course. We teach you how to get your pup focused on you and learning a calm way to behave.
The first class in this course is a fun, one hour orientation for pet parents only.

PUP3 – See Spot Train
Not a puppy but not yet an adult dog…this course is designed specifically with your teenage dogs in mind and continues to build on the behaviors you learned in Growing Pains. Advanced leash walking, paying attention around distractions, and keeping all paws on the floor despite excited guests are just some of the behaviors we fine tune as your pup turns into an adult dog.

Good Manners Dog Classes
DOG101 – Good Manners I
Our Good Dog Manners series is offered in 3 separate 6-week group classes so you and your dog can progress at your own pace.
In this first group class series learn how and why to use a marker, how to build attention, stay, leash walking, come, polite greetings, and how to prevent problem behavior. The first class is a fun and informative orientation for pet parents only.

DOG201 – Good Manners II
Designed to round out your dog’s training skills, DOG201 continues to build on the behaviors learned in DOG101 plus leave it, nose targeting, attention around distractions, reliable cues, and body handling for calm veterinary visits and grooming.

DOG301 – Good Manners III
Upon completion of DOG301 and our Good Manners Group Class series you and your dog will have a strong training foundation for a life full of fun! You and your dog will enjoy training together, know how to build fast, reliable cues, use a marker signal, stay, come, leash walking, nose targeting, understand dog body language, know what your dog loves and how to use a variety of reinforcers including play and food, and so much more.
Once dogs’ graduate from DOG301 you can move onto our Advanced Dog Classes, join our weekly dog walks, or move onto Therapy Training.

Advanced Dog Classes
DOG401 – Training Games
This class will use fun games to strengthen leash walking, stay, recall around distractions, polite greetings, leave it (there may be hamburgers involved), and more. Have fun with your dog and listen to music, while developing reliable, strong behaviors in real world situations. Skills learned in this class are fundamental building blocks for those interested in pursuing additional paths such as testing for Canine Good Citizen, preparing for Therapy work with their dogs, and is a recommended pre-requisit for our DOG401 Advanced Manners.

* Dog should be able to work around other dogs without the use of visual barriers* Dog should be able to walk on a loose leash for 10-20 steps* Dog should know sit and down and be able to hold for 5 seconds or more

Behave101
Any dog can take this 6-week online course! Our clients have LOVED this class so much we decided to make it permanent. Train where you need it most, in your own home. This class is a great first step to in-facility classes or private lessons for dogs and pet parents who need a quieter environment to start their training journey.
Whether you have stopped walking your dog for fear of what he will do on leash, your dog is too scared to leave the house, or you just want to stop your dog from barking at other people, bikes, or dogs on leash, this class is the first step towards a well behaved dog.
Join our behavior team for 6 weeks of learning to find out why your dog is reactive or fearful. Learn safe leash handling skills, how to build a better relationship and confidence with your dog, relaxation techniques, stay, leash walking, recall and more!

Behavior Consultations
Our veterinarian recommended behavior consultants and certified trainers are known throughout the community for expert behavior consultations. Evaluating the whole dog to help families develop training plans individualized to their specific behavior goals and home environment.
Behavior Consultations are ideal for dogs with:
- leash reactivity
- generalized anxiety (e.g. frequent barking, inability to relax or settle down, shaking/trembling, pacing)
- fear
- aggression towards people or animals
- excessive barking
- noise sensitivity
- hyperactivity (inability to relax or settle down)
Our Behavior Team is committed to:
- Effective, evidence-based techniques supported by the American Veterinary Society of Animal Behavior (AVSAB).
- Positive, reward-based, force-free methods.
- Helping you set achievable weekly training goals so you and your dog learn faster.
- Working closely with you and your family to evaluate your dog’s behavior problem.
Schedule an Initial Behavior Assessment to discuss training options and choose the best program for you and your dog. Initial assessments are conducted by our Behavior Team online via zoom and are 45-60 minutes and $135. Your certified trainer will gather a behavioral history, assess your dog training goals, implement a management and safety plan, and recommend a dog training program to meet your goals. Every dog is unique, we are here to help.
