At Training Spot, our puppy classes are designed to help you build a calm, confident, and well-mannered dog from the very beginning.

Each class builds on the one before, helping you and your puppy grow together through play, socialization, and real-world practice — all grounded in the latest positive reinforcement training methods.

PUP 1: Puppy Preschool

For puppies 8–13 weeks old

Focus: Socialization • Puppy Play • Foundation Skills

Your puppy will explore, play, and experience new sights and sounds in a safe, positive environment. All while learning early skills like leash walking, come, and handling.

Class Details

  • 4-week class | $195
  • Age: Start here if your pup is under 14 weeks!
  • Start as soon as your puppy has one distemper/parvo vaccination (and age appropriate boosters) and has been in the home for 1 week.
Preschool Schedule

PUP 2: Puppy Kindergarten

For puppies 14 weeks–6 months old
Start here if your pup is too old for Preschool!

Focus: Socialization • Calm Greetings • Everyday Skills

Kindergarten supports you and your puppy as you continue your socialization journey, learning calm greetings with people and dogs, leash manners, and focus around distractions — setting you both up for success as your pup’s curiosity grows.

Class Details

  • 6-week course | $265
  • Age: 14 weeks to 6 months
  • The first class is a people-only orientation (kids welcome!)
  • Puppies must be current on their distemper/parvo vaccines.
Kindergarten Schedule

PUP 3: Teen Social Club

Focus: Polite Greetings • Real-World Experiences • Field Trips

Adolescence is a big transition—full of energy, curiosity, and new challenges! Teen Social Club is designed to give your pup safe outings and positive social experiences during this important stage.

What you and your pup will practice:

  • Relaxation skills—teaching your pup how to “just hang out” when you’re busy

  • Impulse control around doors, food, and new people

  • Greeting and not greeting (staying calmly by your side) around dogs and humans

  • Confidence-building games and social outings

  • Group walks and exploration in safe, new environments

  • Age: Puppies 5 to 10 months old
  • Prerequisite: PUP 2 or instructor approval.
  • Vaccines: Puppies must be current on their distemper/parvo vaccines.

Perfect for busy puppy parents in Eugene, Springfield, and across Lane County, our private sessions give you flexible scheduling and training tailored to your home and lifestyle.

We’ll help you:

  • Introduce your puppy to your existing pets.
  • Puppy proof your home to make training easier.
  • Potty train with success.
  • Address behavior challenges specific to your home.
  • Build good manners from day one.

Getting Started:
All new clients begin with a at our Eugene training facility with a certified dog trainer. We’ll set goals, begin training, and create your puppy’s personalized training plan. Cost: $155
