Your dog’s behavior tells us where they need support. Our team includes Certified Dog Behavior Consultants (CDBC), Family Dog Mediators, Karen Pryor Academy Certified Training Partners, and Certified Professional Dog Trainers (CPDT-KA). We use force-free, reward-based methods. Together, we’ll set realistic goals and build skills at a pace your dog can manage.
We follow the American Veterinary Society of Animal Behavior’s recommendation to use reward-based methods for everyday training and behavior concerns. We teach new skills without fear, intimidation, or pain. Read the AVSAB humane training statement (PDF).
Private lessons focus on everyday skills and individual coaching. Behavior consultations are for fear, reactivity, aggression, and other behavior concerns, with specialist support.
Lemonade’s optional Behavioral Conditions coverage explicitly lists CDBC for vet-recommended care. Other providers have different requirements. Confirm whether your policy covers our consultations and follow-up sessions before booking. Read our insurance guide.
You haven’t missed your chance to help your dog. We’ll talk through what you’ve tried, look at what may be making learning difficult, and build a plan for your dog’s needs. Progress takes practice and varies from dog to dog.
The first consultation helps us understand your dog and plan the next steps. Behavior work is ongoing; the support and time needed vary by dog and situation.
Your specialist can collaborate with your care team to develop a practical plan. Share your veterinarian’s details and current care during the consultation.
